Girls' Camp Baby!!!

MY FIRST GIRLS CAMP WAS AWESOME!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!

When we first got there we just unloaded all of our belongings from the trailer into the lodge. BORING! Then we picked where we wanted to sleep and got are selves situated. Then we got ourselves a nice and enjoyable lunch. For our first activity we play a game called “Human Battle Ship.” It’s really fun but also hard to explain. Then we went inside and did our very first craft. What we did was all the leaders had bought a bunch of fake flowers. We went and chose our favorite flowers and pulled them all apart. Then all the young women traded each other for different pedals of different flowers. Then we used a hot glue to glue all the pedals together along with a little clip thingy so we could put them in out hair! The next game we played was the funniest to watch I think….you had to tape a balloon to like your tailbone area. Then you also had to tape a tack to your nose. I’m sure you could already guess what we had to do…we had to pop their balloons with our noses. It felt like your were smelling their bum! Ha ha!

Then we did the funnest activity of all! We make awesome scrapbooks from brown paper bags! They are SO cute….I’m just barely starting to work on mine. I hope it turns out cute!

That night though we went “snipe” hunting. To prepare yourself for “snipe” hunting you have to put toothpaste all over your face because they like the smell of mint and you also have to put elastics around your wrists and ankles because they like to climb up your clothes. But if you’ve ever been “snipe” hunting you’ve found out that….THEY ARE NOT EVEN REAL! I was pretty upset. And let me tell you…toothpaste STINGS!

Me and my friends, Gabby and Makelle, stayed up till three in the morning!

The next day the two big things we did was the Rope Course and Testimony Meeting. For the Rope Course all the first year Beehives got blind folded and taken into the woods. We were told not to let of the rope. The rope represented the iron rod. But because it was in the woods there were a bunch of trees and logs and stuff so it was way hard. Our Testimony Meeting was about two – three hours long.

After Testimony Meeting the girls announced that we were going to do an all nighter! So we totally loaded up on slushies!

I was so TIRED!

Then it turned out that we needed out sleep for the next day to we went to bed about one in the morning.

The beehives were in charge of making one lunch and one breakfast. We had a blast in the kitchen!

For the last day of camp we went to Bear Lake for the day! We had a blast!

An adventure…

Girls camp is on its way. We have been doing to fun camp activities to get into the camp spirit! Just yesterday was our last camp activity because camp is only a week away! I’m way excited! Our last activity was going on a five mile hike! It was much funner than I had planned. We hiked up for two and a half miles and than we found a nice spot and made a nice big fire. We even roasted s’mores and everything! YUMMY!

All the girls met at the church at 6:00 pm. Before we left someone in our ward gave like a twenty minute speech on first aid and what to do if someone gets hurt and other stuff like that. Very interesting…. And all along the hike are leaders would like “get hurt” and what not, but I never believed them. But our girls camp leader actually did get stung by stinging nettle. Ouch!

Girls camp is coming up in exactly one week from today! (Wednesday) We are staying at Beaver Lodge for three days total and on the third day we are going to go to Bear Lake. We will have a BLAST!

Bear Lake is BEAUTIFUL! It’s like a bright turquoise and its just gorgeous.

The Beehives have plenty of pranks in mind. Watch out! But don’t worry, we won’t be too hard on them.

4th of July!

The fourth of July will soon be arriving! YEAH! I sure can’t wait!

My family would like to go Utah State University for a fire work show. That should be an interesting trip. I’m sure we will have a blast if we go.

Back in Arizona, my aunt and uncle (and cousins) would throw this big fourth of July party every year. They were SO FUN! But now that I live in Utah I never get to go to it anymore. They would always have those inflatable water slides and then you could go and swim in their pool or you could just mess around with friends.

I think I just love the fourth of July. You know, the parties, fire works, and the patriotic spirit is just in the air! HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

My First Talk!

This Sunday I did my very first talk in sacrament meeting. It all started when on Monday a member of the bishopric called me and asked me to speak. Of course, I said sure. He told me to speak on my favorite young women value. At first I was going to speak on Divine Nature, but later on in the week, I decided to do Good Works. With a little help from my dad, I got the job done!

It was really weird because I wasn’t nervous AT ALL, until about 5 or 10 minutes before it was my turn to talk and I was the first person to talk that day. I walked up to the pulpit, started to talk, and everything went good from there.

When I got home from church, I checked my cell phone and I had a new voicemail. Started to listen to it and it turned out to be my aunt, Tauni. She had come to my church, just to hear me give my talk. She left after I was done, but I was very thankful that she had come to hear me. It meant a lot to me.

To look on the bright side………..I won’t have to give another talk…………..until next year!

SCHOOL'S OUT!

SCHOOL’S OUT! LET’S SCREAM AND SHOUT! I am so happy that school is finally out. Sixth grade is done and now I am moving on to seventh grade! Yeah! This year has actually gone really fast for me. There were so many new things that I had to get used to this year. Such as:

~ a locker
~ 7 different classes

~ switching schedules every term

~ keeping track of which assignment is due is what class

~ using a lunch card (in my other school we didn’t use them)

The list goes on and on. I am so excited for seventh grade. I don’t think it will be as scary as it was going into sixth grade because I will know everyone there, I have already met all the teachers, and I know my way around the school.

My most embarressing moment of sixth grade was when me and one of my best friends did the whole Napolean Dynamite dance for the talent show infront of the whole sixth grade and some of seventh grade. It was AWESOME! We even wore:

MOON BOOTS! A VOTE FOR PEDRO T-SHIRT!

And of course we had to some jeans to go with it. The whole shabang! But I have to admit, we had a BLAST doing it. And after the talent show was over, we left out VOTE FOR PEDRO shirts on the whole rest of the day. I felt like a celebrity just walking down the halls!

I guess all I’m trying to say is . . . . . . SIXTH GRADE WAS AWESOME!

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!!!

This year, the 2 main things that me/family got is . . .

A CELL PHONE AND A WII!!!

Okay…cool huh? Well, the cell phone is a blue chocolate. It is AWESOME! And the best part is, that as long a I get good grades (which is as long as I can remember) my mom and dad will pay for it!!!!!!!!!!

And the wii, well that is WICKED!!! The only game that we have on it is the wii sports. But I am sure that the longer we have it, the more games we will get.

My whole list –

~ Double Identity (book)

~ An AWESOME bookmark. (It’s made of medal and it has a quote on it.)

~ New ear muffs! YEAH!

~And oragami kit. (sweet huh?)

~ Candy (in my stocking)

AND OF COURSE AND CELL PHONE AND A WII!!!

My dad got my mom a pair of skis, ski boots, and and ski poles! So, (keep in mind that it’s snowing outside…) she looked out side and put on her skis. Then she went outside and went skiing down out driveway!!! Crazy huh? Well, it was quite comical. She was practically covered in snow and her hand were freezing! Haha!

I had the best Christmas! What about you?

Funky Straws!!!

Sometimes in life we happen to fall upon people who are not so ordinary… then there’s Makelle and Haley (my friends) which is
a completely different story. Here’s what happened . . .

One day we went to the vending maching and got some bottles of pop. When we got home and had finished the snakes that we had also bought, we went downstairs to drink our pop. Makelle decided that she couldn’t drink hers without having a crazy straw to suck on.

She connected a bunch of them together and attemped to suck some sprite. It was hilarious!!! Then, Haley saw what she was doing and wanted to do it herself. So she did! Haha! What a show to witness!

But…that wasn’t enough for Makelle. She had to have 4 straws from all 4 drinks! What a nutcase!

And I bet you can guess what happends next. Haley tries it too.

And then…there’s me! I just drink it the ole’ fashion way! Haha!

NO MORE JUMP ROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just guess that my coach was being EXTREMELY rude and stuff to my parents and they didn’t like it. So…they decided…NO MORE JUMP ROPE!!! (Plus, it was too expensive anyway they said.) I am taking Gymnastics now…

That night I came home from practice and just sat in my room balling…I don’t know if I will ever get over it! Gymnastics is fun and all…but I LOVED JUMP ROPE!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This Halloween was way fun! I got lots of candy! Before we went trick-or-treating, we had a “Spooky” dinner!

Cody and Justin were Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Rylee was of course Strawberry Shortcake!

And last but not least . . . I was . . . a HIPPIE!!! (Or a 7o’s person . . . either one)

Me and all of my friends went trick-or-treating together! We had a BLAST!
